Unusual Demont- “NIGHTTIME”
Visually and vocally engaging, Unusual Demont's latest release “NIGHTTIME” is a catch like no other. In just under three minutes, Demont's ethereal voice locks you into vocal hypnosis while his accompanying video is a cherry on top feature complimenting the track. Looking into the outskirts of a city, a soft melody begins with a light blue to soft pink color scheme picking up an earth-like atmosphere. The camera angle then zooms into an up-close camera shot, apprehending his euphonious voice singing “In close downtown if you hear me.” As he continues, back and forth frames of him align with the melody and the bass radiates as it becomes an essential composition of the song. Within seconds, the screen goes black titling the lyrics in an arch format, “In the nighttime, I’m right where you need me baby” and the breakbeat comes through transitioning the soft melody into a new prance rhythm. As the hype beat carries the rest of the track, the video's vibe becomes a colorful and energetic feature, mixed with psychedelic black and white visuals.
While the track has a different tempo, Demont's voice is complemented by a vibrato, pulsating a change of pitch that becomes in sync with the new electro flux. Listening to the track, one might sense a love song, but the idea of the song is incorporated by the motive of peace and self-expression. Taken by the change of melody and visuals that continue to compel listeners in the remainder of the video/song, Demont takes fans on a new exciting journey of adventurous R&B and infused soulful melody. Considering the two-year gap in the artist's music, Demont continues to thrive as he bounces back with his vocal artistry in his latest single.
